Adobe Systems Incorporated has approved distribution of the Adobe® Flash® Player with Unite! 2012!
The End User License Agreement (EULA) requirements have shrank dramatically as we move closer to the official 1, Jan. 2012 release date for Unite! 2012.
With the approved distribution of the Flash Player by Adobe Systems Inc. the last long drawn-out section of the EULA has been removed, creating a simple one page EULA instead of the book-sized EULA required for it's predecessor R4W (Replacement for Windows).
Earlier this month we changed the way Dropbox was incorporated which allowed us to remove it's licensing requirements from the EULA. The Oracle (previously SUN) Java requirement has also been dropped, along with the Microsoft TrueType Fonts which were removed in favor of a publicly licensed alternative. Skype has also been able to be removed from the EULA now that they are accepting "usage of the software" as a means of accepting their terms of service. At the moment only the standard EULA and included acknowledgment of various multimedia codecs remain.
